The NJCU Mock Trial Team had its first full weekend invitational meet of the season this past weekend at Rutgers University. The camaraderie, teamwork, student leadership, and diligence of all team members was amazing to watch — and the results were incredible.
The team won 4 judges’ ballots in total; winning ballots include ballots against Brown University, George Washington University, St. John’s University, and Dickinson College.
NJCU's Bryan Nina won an outstanding witness award for his portrayal of the defendant, Jordan Ryder. Bryan was the only student in the tournament to earn a perfect score. We congratulate all team members for their outstanding efforts--Arisha Andha, Sebastian Duarte, Nermeen Girgis, Andy Guevara, Georglana Balisage, Jessica Menjivar, Raymond Smikle, Paola Eusebio, Paola Maldonado, and Bryan Nina.
