Research Focus: My research centers on the use of advanced computational chemistry techniques, particularly through Gaussian 16, a powerful, research-grade software suite designed for quantum chemistry calculations. Through Gaussian 16, I explore molecular properties, reaction mechanisms, reactive sites and energy profiles. Key area of interest includes quantum mechanics, energy minimization, simulations, and conformational analysis to understand and predict molecular behavior and reactivity. Methodology Applied: Hartree-Fock (HF)and Density Functional Theory (DFT.
Grant Support: PI: US Department of Education, Minority Science and Engineering Improvement Program (MSEIP)Award# P120A230078; $899,346; 10/01/ 2023- 09/30/2026. Closing the Skills Gap in Gatekeeper STEM Courses. The purpose of the MSEIP grant is to effect long-range improvement in science and engineering education at predominantly minority institutions and to increase the flow of underrepresented ethnic minorities, particularly minority women, into scientific and technological careers. Co-PI: National Science Foundation (NSF), Empowering STEM Learners: Modernizing Labs and Computing Facilities for Interdisciplinary Impact, Award#2524334; $152,000; 10/01/2025-9/30/2027
