Michelle Rosen
Chairperson and Associate Professor
Summary
Michelle Rosen is the Chairperson and an Associate Professor in the Department of Literacy Education. She received her Masters in Reading (with Reading Specialist Certification) and Doctorate in Education (with a concentration in Teacher Leadership) from Rutgers University. Dr. Rosen directs the NJCU Teacher Intern Program (www.njcu.edu/tip), a school-based residency program for College of Education students where they work alongside experienced teachers in Jersey City Charter Schools. Additionally, she coordinates the 100% online Masters in Reading with Reading Specialist Certification at NJCU. Dr. Rosen’s research interests include school-based residency programs, professional development, and student-centered pedagogies.
