Research Interests
Students requiring support and instruction in Academic Literacy, TESOL and Critical Thinking are the focus of Professor Burris' pedagogy. His classes are task oriented and student centered, following a workshop model. Assessments culminate in a student portfolio that includes assignments that meet objectives set out in course syllabi. With more than 15 years of teaching experience, he have learned that motivating students to focus on tasks to completion helps them develop skills for success.
